Economics PhD Graduate School Admission Results

No funding decision. They said they tend to move in late Jan and early Feb.

Interview on Nov 17th with two professors from the admission committee and the professor I contacted previously.

Received informal email notification from the department on Dec 30th and formal admission and instructions from the graduate school on Jan 2rd.

GPA is ag econ MS at similar dept. Email on 12/30 from grad coordinator and DGS. Five years of funding, "you will receive email in coming days with funding details". 1 accept/0 reject/12 pending

The university said funding info will be sent to me in a few days

I am still in shock. Email came a couple of hours ago. Said I will receive a call later!!! Good luck to everyone.

I get a email today for interview for PhD economics. They are saying that I am pleased to inform you that our academic team would like to interview you for a place on the Economics PhD programme, commencing in September 2022. All applicants that have been shortlisted for this programme will be interviewed at the beginning of February and we will be in touch nearer the time with interview details.

Just record this for future applicants: you may receive no news until July......

Has anyone heard anything? Do they send rejection letters?

Do not ever apply to this God forgotten Charles University (CUNI/IES) in Prague. I did, and lost both time time and application fee, although the last is meager. Their faculty and Chair of department, Dr. Kocenda, have manipulated me into submitting the application without supervisor's notice. The decision they make and evaluation matrix enclose indicates 25% and 50% of admissions score are based on supervisor's notice and research proposal approved by supervisor.

Rejected without interview. LLM with Distinction from LSE. Received the standard rejection and another e-mail suggesting me to apply for the PhD in Gender Studies as my proposal was about feminist legal theory. My guess is that the intersection between feminism and legal theory is lacking at the moment in LSE and I only got one professor to support my application (You need to have 2 professors as your supervisors that support your application). I was accepted by Oxford for their DPhil in Law and I am currently waiting to hear about funding from them.

The department said I was on the waitlist for funding in February but no update since then. I wrote to the graduate school and the department director had the same standard response(will decide after 15th April!) when the graduate school looped him in. It is already May and they still are not informing me if I'm in or out. Can someone please tell me whom do I contact to know the application status? Thanks.

[NOT WL] TPB i got an email with a rejection, so keep on waiting maybe you'll hear back from them.
