Environmental Engineering, University Of California, Berkeley Applied for the PhD in ECIC, got an email from the head of admissions asking if I wanted to switch to the masters with an option to continue to PhD after completion. Apparently only one student this cycle is getting accepted to the PhD directly from Bachelors, and all other PhD admits are being recruited from the masters program. 3 research internships at prestigious organizations, currently working full time as a researcher at a national lab, email stated that I had very strong LOR (although I have not read them myself), 4 presentations, contributed to 1 publication (acknowledgments), math and environ sci background (non-engineering). Official results should be out mid-February

Applied Mathematics, Brown University Double majored in physics and applied math. I have 7 years of research experience. 4 published papers, 1 REU. Great LOR. Finishing my M.S. in Physics (GPA 3.97). Not surprised good luck to the others!

Statistics, McGill University Canadian undergrad with math major and stats minor at a Canadian uni (UBC undergrad in fact) with a 90.8% (converted to 3.92/4) average in upper level courses relating to degree. Of the eight universities I applied to, this was the last one I heard back from.

Statistics, University Of British Columbia Canadian undergrad with math major and stats minor at a Canadian uni (UBC undergrad in fact) with a 90.8% (converted to 3.92/4) average in upper level courses relating to degree. I applied to 8 schools all in Canada, and this is my first rejection. I got accepted into 5 and am waiting for 2.

Mathematics, San Diego State University I am the same person as from March 28th, 2023. I received the official offer in the portal on 4/18/2023 and have accepted the offer. Math GPA: 3.3, Upper Division Math GPA: 3.57, Cumulative GPA: 3.66, No GRE. This program has exciting research, people and good chance of funding.
