Philosophy, University Of Southern California IGNORE STATUS. Sorry for being the guy who does this, but has anyone heard from USC at all? I want to make decisions, and I doubt I got in to USC, but if I did get in, it would probably affect plans.

Computer Science, ETH Zurich - Swiss Federal Institute Of Technology Good LoRs. I was writing my motivation letter with my supervisor and, in my mind, made it almost perfect. Unfortunately, that is almost all. No big publications and no big internships. Also not ideal GPA (ruined my first semester). Not too surprised, but at least tried.

Management, Technology & Economics (MTEC), ETH Zurich - Swiss Federal Institute Of Technology Top 2% in industrial engineering from RWTH Aachen Germany out of around 150 even though GPA is quite low. I'm a Scholarship holder with no research experience, and 2 internships (1 in Consulting). 1 LoR very strong, the other one quite standard. No ESOP information. Waiting for admission was emotionally very turbulent, wish all of you good luck, stay strong!

History, Cornell University Yikes. Truly I’m very upset, not with my rejection, but the way Cornell handed their rejections. I have been left in the dark, and today I decided to email the grad director who basically told me “oops! we had a technical error so not all of our letters were sent out! here’s your letter!†just for it to be a rejection. Im very disheartened. Just because I am one in a hundred applicants to them doesn’t mean that this isn’t my whole future.

Economics, Columbia University In halls of thought where minds entwine, I sought a place, a dream to call mine. With hope as my lantern, ambition my guide, To the gates of knowledge, I applied. An odyssey of words, a future penned, In applications, my aspirations I'd send. Each letter a wish, each essay a plea, A bid for a realm where my mind could roam free. But the universe whispers in ways unforeseen, Not every endeavor blooms into a scene. A letter returned, not with welcome, but decline, A note that read, "Not this time." In the quiet aftermath, amidst shadow and sigh, Where dreams hover like clouds in a storm-ridden sky. It's easy to wonder, to lament, and to ask, "Why?" To let the spark of ambition, in the face of refusal, die. Yet, within this rejection, a lesson lies bare, Not of defeat, but of chance to prepare. For every no hides a path to a yes, A twist in the story, no need to obsess. So, I gather my dreams, tattered but bold, Ready to rewrite the tales untold. With each setback, a new strength I find, In the resilient corners of my determined mind. The journey's not over, merely a bend in the road, A pause in the quest for the knowledge abode. With renewed vigor, my aspirations I'll resend, For in the pursuit of passion, there's no definitive end. A refusal, a moment, but my resolve stands tall, In the quest for enlightenment, I'll surpass it all. For every scholar knows, through rejection, we grow, And in the garden of academia, resilience is what we sow.

History, Cornell University All admissions decisions were sent out last week. I'm copying our coordinator, who sent out the letters, and she should be able to let you know how the letters were sent and/or send you a copy. “ what does that mean :(
