Hebrew And Judaic Studies/History, New York University (NYU) Called and asked when they would send the letters. They said that all official acceptances are done by post. They then said they'd look at my application and let me know of the status, half an hour later an email saying that I was waitlisted.

International Politics, American University (SIS) SIS emailed me back today, with a generic "we are still going through applications and making decisions. hopefully all decisions will be sent out by the end of the month via mail" In a way though I kind of feel as though thus far no one has been rejected, only accepted.. could this be a bad sign for those of us waiting? Everyone seemed to hear back on acceptances around 3/16-3/20.

All Programs, Harvard Kennedy School Of Government (KSG) Still waiting on a decision. Hope others are to. Harvard really needs to fire everyone of the HKS admissions staff. The are about the most inefficient bunch I've ever seen. Here it is March 24, and I'm still waiting on a decision. Ridiculous!

Computer Science, Georgia Institute Of Technology On behalf of the faculty, I want to thank you for your interest in the Computer Science Ph.D. Program at the College of Computing and for giving us the opportunity to consider your graduate application to this Program. Your application and supporting documents have been carefully reviewed by the Ph.D. admissions committee in the College of Computing. For Fall 2009 we received large numbers of very qualified applicants. After careful review of all the applicants, I am sorry to report that we are unable to admit you this year. After reviewing your application, the admissions committee concluded that you have insufficient academic qualifications to succeed in the program. We wish you the best of luck in your future academic endeavors. The hard copy original of this notification will follow via regular USPS mail.

International Affairs, Elliott School Of International Affairs Waitlisted! But the letter on the website looks like a rejection letter at first.. it starts out all somber and "we received so many applicants.. we had to make tough decisions" but scroll all the way down!! and they give you instructions on how to remain on the waitlist- but they give out decisions up until May 18th, which is pretty late to wait..

Bioinformatics, University Of California, San Diego (UCSD) I feel sorry that we are unable to accept all applicants with genuine interests in bioinformatics. With so many candidates with nearly perfect GRE scores, high GPA scores, and even published papers in bioinformatics journals, we had to make some hard decisions while accepting the qualified candidates. Please be aware that many excellent candidates could not be offered admission since we are only able to extend offers to a limited number of applicants. Thank you again for your interest in the University of California, San Diego.

International Politics, American University (SIS) To both: First person: I just emailed SIS so hopefully I get a response back as quickly as you! Congratulations on getting in :D Second person, the area we're talking about is under "Event Registration" - it'll say SIS Grad Day or something along those lines- and then show you all the cities, and where, what time and date the receptions are located and you can click "register now" and it'll send you a confirmation email back. It'll then show up in your Events section once you're registered. Good luck!
