English, University Of Virginia (UVA) Very short e-mail "We approve your admission to the college of Arts and Sciences at the University of Virginia" lol. That's all. More information to come in the mail, they say. But I'm definitely a happy camper for now!

Health Systems ScD, Harvard School Of Public Health To the person who hasn't heard anything, yet. All admission decisions have been sent out, so If you haven't heard anything, I am afraid no news is bad news...also wondering did anyone get into the joint Economics - Global Health track of this department? I see only rejections for this track this year.

Mechanical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute Of Technology (MIT) I tried to contact faculty members for the RA/TA as mentioned in the email received, but I got no replies at all. No assistantship = No MIT for me. Has someone heard about assistantships?

Global Health (Health Systems SD), Harvard School Of Public Health To the person below. I also haven't heard anything yet. Admissions said decisions will be made all the way until the end of March?! is this false (getting nervous)?

Mechanical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute Of Technology (MIT) To the MIT poster below: which faculty members did you contact? Are your past research experiences in-line with what their lab does? When did you email them? Have you tried following up on the emails?
Most of the faculty I contacted have replied (although not all of them had funding available for RAships).
Best of Luck.

Physics, University Of Southern California (USC) Mrs. Byers responded that the committee is taking a very long time making decisions this year, meaning they apparently haven't sent out all or close to all acceptances.

Biomedical Engineering, Columbia University - Fu Foundation I haven't gotten in touch or anything. But the way that all my other schools have behaved (*shakes fist at Harvard, UPenn, etc.*) I am simply not expecting anything. There seems to be no rules this year, no adherence to any customary ways, nothing. God knows what's going on back there!!!

International Affairs SIPA, Columbia University congrats to all those with fellowships! to those who didn't receive any: seems like columbia is hell bent on having a student population who is either wealthy or desperate! Borrowing 100% of the cost of attending SIPA is not a wise economic decision given the expected returns of this particular degree

Molecular Genetics & Microbiology, Michigan State University (MSU) 100% sure nobody looked at my applicaion. i sent all material on time but at early feb, i received an email they are missing my gre and toefl. i double- checked with ets and made sure everything was there. i tried to email & call several times with no response. Finally, i managed to call at end of february and the grad secretary told me that if my file had been completed, i would have received an email, otherwise it is not complete & wasn't forwarded to the grad committee. Then i got the grad school rejection mail dated march 5th. Of course i didn't receive any completed status email in that 5 day period. The grad secretay literally told me when i politely asked her on the phone to check what is still missing " do u know how many international applications we receive every year? i can't check anything more than once" i really wish i hadn't paid those 50$.
