Sociology, University Of Pennslyvania Called grad coordinator. She told me that all admitted applicants had already been contacted. She also said the waiting list was still being compiled. That does not make one terribly hopeful

Philosohpy, University Of Texas, Austin (UT Austin) was this on the utdirect website? My blue box still says all "We have received all credentials required to process your application. Your file has been forwarded to the Graduate Committee for review." I wonder what it means... do they ever send out waitlists in waves?

Communication Sciences And Disorders/Speech Pathology, University Of Iowa Iowa has 29 people on the wait list. The graduate director stated that there have been years where they went through the entire wait list, and years where they never touched it. Good luck to all!

Anthropology (cultural), Tulane University What a bummer... 1st Rejection... I totally identify with all of you guys out there! Im still waiting on two hopeful programs, and I have an acceptance from my two backup schools so Im not devastated, but still...

Department Of Statistics, Texas A & M University (TAMU) Our Graduate Committee has just finished making all of the 1st round offers for PhD applicants. Your file has been placed in a pool of applicants for possible consideration of 2nd round offers. If a large number of the 1st round offers are declined, the Committee will go back to the pool of applicants, re-rank them and make a 2nd round of offers sometime mid-April.

English, Yale University The usual email to check website. Same letter they send out every year. Good thing I didn't pay the application fee. I suspect they will be sending out all the rejections today, as they already made offers of admission more than two weeks ago.
