Felt like a bit of a mountain coming from a non-CS undergrad, but I apparently did enough to overcome that.

Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University IR2 from mid tier IIT. 2 research internships (universities), one of them international. 1 conference paper (A) and 2 journals under submission. Best bachelors Thesis, ACM ICPC Regionals, SIH win. 1.5y work exp ~FAANG. CMU MSCS is extremely competitive, and they don't necessarily look for research so don't make yourself sound like a PhD candidate. Apply to MSML or MCDS which are easier to get in, or MSE if you have a weaker profile but definitely want to get in.

But I am yet to hear from other schools like Northwestern, University of Minnesota, and Carnegie Mellon. How about everyone in this forum? what is your status? Are you also waiting for the decisions to be posted? I am not sure if I have any chances either...

Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University [IGNORE THE WAITLIST] Guys, does anybody have info on CMU-MCDS? I'm thinking I should expect a reject now but haven't seen that many acceptances or any rejects on here? I was under the impression that CMU releases its accepts and rejects together so I'm very confused.
