Apparently they sent my rejection on Feb 14th, but they sent it to an old defunct email address that I didn't include anywhere on my application (?!). This was a gut punch because my advisor works at MIT and is a big name in OR and led me to believe I'd be a sure admit given that he was writing my rec letter. Alas. |

I was surprised to receive this email because I had never finished my application. The program has been completely off my radar since October, when I began my app. Didn't follow through and submit because there wasn't much of a research match. Apparently less than 7% of students even got an interview from around 200 students who applied. |
