University Of Chicago Graduate School Admission Results

Please ignore status. Has anyone else not heard from University of Pittsburgh's psychology department since applying? I hate uncertainty. Ugh.

I got the weird email too and then got this follow up: "This is the Admissions Team in the School of Information Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh. Please forgive the inconvenience, but you may have recently received an email from our School with advisor information in error! If you have received this email you may simply delete it – there is no need to respond! Thank you for you understanding, and again I apologize for the inconvenience. Sincerely, Wes Lipschultz, Senior Director of Student and Academic Affairs & SCI Student Services Team "

Ugh so frustrated by the error email that was sent out :( I've yet to hear anything from the school since I applied. I thought it was strange I would be accepted without an interview from a PI.

FAKE acceptance email from sciadmit@pitt.edu. I see a lot of people have gotten this email in all different fields - I contacted Pitt SCI admissions and this was their response, so rest easy if you clicked on the link / provided your info: "My understanding is that this was an error related to the filter on who the email was sent to (in other words, this email should have been constrained to only send to those who applied to SCI Grad programs). Somehow that filter was not applied. This is still a closed system, however, so this should not be a problem. However, I have CC'd our tech folks so they are aware as well. "

Undergrad degree in English (current senior), committed immediately. Hoping to become an academic librarian but then pursue additional humanities learning (and eventually teaching?) in the future. GRE was 160 V, 151 Q, 5 W.

Canadian undergrad. Interviews happening Jan 20-21.

did anyone else get a FAKE phd acceptance from pitt tonight? from pitt address but clearly not real (school of computing and information sciences, no advisor name, etc). calling admissions tomorrow to let them know about it but was curious if it happened to anyone else
