English Graduate School Admission Results

Creative writing, fiction emphasis. Notification via personal email. Rejection unsurprising seeing as acceptances were sent out over a month ago. I have other acceptances so I'm not feeling to bad. Mizzou has also been hit pretty hard with funding freezing. 2a/0w/8r/5p

I totally expected this outcome as I had not been offered an interview. It was a very long shot, but I did appreciate getting a letter so I could write "I didn't pay for this one for being poor and gay" in colors and I am planning to hang it up on my wall. The cycle is almost over for me, any admissions so far, but oh well, it is not over until it is over my dudes 0a/1w/5r/1p

Oof. Rejected after interview. I was hilarious, and erudite too. Oh well. Just glad I didn’t move from NYC! Congrats to all who got in this season. Not sure I have the intestinal fortitude to do this again. !! ;)

Letter says the exact same thing as the Af-Am Studies rejection. Cute. 1a / 0w / 13r / 6p

GPA is Masters. Not at all surprised at this regardless of recruiters saying those from lower ranked programs have a chance. 1a/0w/13r/6p

GPA is grad. I had emailed the English department grad coordinator again to follow up on being waitlisted and what the process looks like. They did not really say that but I was informed that the waitlist is quite long and that if I have an offer from somewhere else it is better to accept that. Just letting those who are on the waitlist know so in case you already have a good offer, you should take it. Seems like it’s gonna be hard to get off the waitlist.

Joint Ph.D. Program in English and Education (JPEE). I only have a bachelor's degree and the program seemed more tailored to those who have a Master's. I thought I would try to apply anyhow, but I am not surprised by the response.

Master of Arts program in English. Offered full tuition and an assistantship over email on the 20th of Feb! Denied the offer for another program that better fit my needs, but it seems like a great place and I hope someone else gets passed the generous offer!
