Notification to check portal, followed by a very kind email from the DGS. Best news so far, but I don't mean to rush anyone :) Congrats to all admitted, I hope to get the chance to join you! Third waitlist -- the academic benching is becoming unbearable haha. For those still waiting or who were not interviewed, don't despair! Pasting this info from someone admitted in 2020: "Adcom decides how many from each subfield they will take; subfields meet independently and decide how they want to select finalists. Some subfields decide to interview; others do not. It varies from year to year which subfields do this (in previous years, for example, medieval has interviewed but not other subfields)." 20th/21st C. interviewed this year, so have hope if that's not your subfield.
