Architecture, University Of Toronto High GPA, two+ years of work experience with residential and public projects, BAS from Carleton, great references, have had international and national architectural research publications and public speakings and recognitions, clear thesis outline that matches what UofT does, got rejected only to know other ppl without architectural background have reserved seats too and some got in! tough competition! DPE, University Of Toronto (oise) TTPB: Have any DPE MA/PHD applicants received an official offer/funding letter? I received an email offer from my POI and they even start engaging me in their work now. But there have not been any official details ever since?! This feels very weird.

Biostatistics, University Of Toronto International. Have Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Also an MS.c in community health and epidemilogy from Usask. Have two years relevant work (statistical analysis with StatsCan data). I don't think they get students from programs other than math/stats and alike.

Planning, University Of Toronto I'm the person who was worried about the MScPl program and then randomly noticed my Acorn status was changed to "invited". I emailed admissions and they said there was a glitch with my acceptance and apologized about the delay! They emailed my official acceptance letter today with $8000 funding! 3.4 CGPA, 3.7 GPA over the last 2 years. Strong thesis proposal and strong references. Somewhat related work experience. 1 publication. SO excited!

Public Policy, University Of Toronto canadian, undergrad in poli sci and applied 2 years after graduation, no policy or government work experience, cgpa 3.4/4, final year 3.6/4, offered 3k entrance scholarship. all to say: did not have the odds in my favour but i really think spending TIME and ENERGY on my statement and having strong references helps!

Architecture, University Of Toronto Accepted for advanced standing. Architecture undergrad at McGill, no work experience under an architect, but work experience in the construction field and graphic design. Straight from undergrad to masters, no time off.

Computer Science, MScAC, University Of Toronto Interviewed last week of February. Decision arrived a week later. I wasn't sure about my odds because I'm in my mid 30s, yet I have 7 years of work exp. as I cofounded a 40 person tech startup in Mexico when I was 28 y/o and I was in the top 5% of my undergrad at ITESM Monterrey. I'm very excited, there are not many people who study CS at a top institution in the US or CAN, I can't believe the number of excellent students from Asia that apply for the most competitive programs. I was also accepted at Imperial College London but most prob. I will take UofT. For those of you above 30 y/o reading this, if you wanna apply don't hesitate.

Molecular Genetics, University Of Toronto International student. Applied for the MSc but was offered a PhD position. Possibly because its much cheaper to fund PhD than MSc for international students. I have years of work experience, and I am averaging a 1st class in my undergrad.

Social Work, University Of Toronto Permanent Resident of Canada. Previous Masters from UK in Globalization and International Development with 10-yrs practical work experience in INGOs. Application status ' under review' since last few weeks. At McGill, it is also 'under review' since October 2020. Was not expecting to be under review for that long. Any suggestions pls?
