Mechanical Engineering, University Of Toronto I don't see any post in mechanical engineering this year, so I post one......Applied both MSc. & M.Eng in Nov, both applications are under review It's been quite a few months.....give up on the MSc. program, hope I can get into M.Eng. BTW, I'm an international student holding a Canadian bachelor's degree with some work experience in Canada.

Computer Science, University Of Toronto TTPB: People that got admitted into UofT's Ph.D. CS program: Did you guys applied for the Ph.D.-Direct option or did you hold a master's degree beforehand? Also, what did it say under "Application Status" in the departmental form before it changes to "Accepted" or something like that? Was it "Complete" or was it something else? Finally, the person admitted into Theory track, congratulations!, can you please mention your PoI name? Initials would work :)) Thank you so much!

Computer Science, University Of Toronto Finally! Very Generic rejection letter; was expecting it at this point. Uoft is my undergrad school; applied just to see if I could get in. Some research, TA experience, reflected in my reference letters. Going to work in industry.

Urban Planning, University Of Toronto Told over email when I inquired last week because I had other offers to accept that I was waitlisted, official letter came in the mail saying 'we regret to inform we cannot accept you' blah blah blah. 3.73 GPA, related work experience and strong references, not sure how they make their decisions but whatever

Computer Science, University Of Toronto It says the number of applications was exceptionally high. GPA 3.66, TOEFL 106, 2 under review papers, 24 months of work experience, and several teaching assistant experiences. Not unexpected. Status on the portal is still "Complete, under review".

Computer Science, University Of Toronto Good GPA + GRE and some really good projects of my domain (AI). 1 paper publication + 1 conference proceedings. Summer internship at CERN. 2 very strong LORs and 1 perhaps average. 3 years research experience. 8.0 IELTS score. And in the rejection mail they say "Gaining more computer science-related research experience and/or work experience and improving grades, GRE and/or (if applicable) English language scores may help to strengthen your application." It's all about luck. A blind shot gamble.

MPH Specialization Epi, University Of Toronto One year of work experience after completing undergraduate Biomedical Science degree at uOttawa. Overall, 2 years of research experience. Delivered both oral and poster presentations at national conferences. Good extracurriculars, but no volunteering in hospital.
