Computer Science, University of Texas, Austin (UT Austin) UT Austin failed to respond timely. Even they've not finalized many accepted candidates' funding (who got acceptance notification about a month back); needless to say about the notification of rejected candidates! This is the grad admission coordinator reply "The PhD committee is meeting very late in the afternoon this Wednesday.They should give me all updates then." I presume it would be midnight of 14th April, when they would give all updates and ask to respond by midnight of 15th April... Huh !

Computer Science, University of Texas, Austin (UT Austin) I have been told by a senior from UT-Austin that they are going to accept only around 20 PhD students this year in CS. Many of the PhD decisions has already been made and it's just a matter of confirmation for which they are sitting for this meeting. So we can expect a LOTTTT of rejects :P. Computer Science, University of Texas, Austin (UT Austin) Got a mail fro Austin today telling that it's there great pleasure to inform me of my admission into the Master's program in Computer Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin.And asked to inform me no later than 15th april.

Computer Science, University of Texas, Austin (UT Austin) Sorry about the post below, actually I have been told that they have narrowed it down to only 20 PhD applicants. The committee will sit to decide on only those 20 applicants!. Also those who applied for PhD or MSc will be decided there for those who gets rejected from PhD. Good Luck!

Computer Science, University of Texas, Austin (UT Austin) Checked the status page, nothing has been posted yet. Wonder why it is taking them so long :( I need to make up my mind on final destination, depending on how Austin decision goes. This unending wait has delayed the next step I should take. Hope the wait is worth after all!

Computer Science, University of Texas, Austin (UT Austin) The same information shown in last 3 months "We have received all credentials required to process your application. Your file has been forwarded to the Graduate Committee for review". When the acceptance deadline is 15th April, how UT Austin could lose all sense of responsibility to notify the applicants?
