English, University Of Florida I didn't apply here this fall. I applied last fall (2023). I am waiting on other decisions, so imagine my surprise to be rejected from a school I did not apply to for Fall 2024. Double-checked to be safe. Thanks UFL. The icing was "we received over 100 applications...we congratulate you on our work...we have carefully considered all applications..."

Mental Health Counseling, Fordham University Was notified via email to check the portal. Pleasantly surprised I was waitlisted. After 4 rejections, I am relieved it isn't a flat-out rejection. 3+ years of experience in undergrad + work-study + internships, experience post-grad, and great LORs. I will be keeping my name on the waitlist if anyone is wondering. 0a/1w/4r/3p

Anthropo, University Of California, Santa Cruz Archaeology focus. Two years of experience in half a dozen labs during my undergrad, 5 years in CRM leading field and lab efforts. No GRE. Multiple email, phone, and video exchanges with faculty, all of whom seemed very eager to work with me. Bummed about being rejected here, but glad I got into the other schools I applied to!

Social Work, UNC Chapel Hill Pretty sure my acceptance was a part of 2nd round offers (still thrilled!), so I missed the opportunity to attend the open house. Anyone has any insight as to their impression of the program or the culture? If you were offered admissions and turned it down, why?

MSc Computer Science, ETH Zurich - Swiss Federal Institute Of Technology Top 2% in bachelor's program, three strong letters of recommendation, decent motivation statement, two years of work experience, strong extracurricular activities and leadership roles. Came from a top 100-150 European university. (Also got into Msc Data Science and hence the repeating statement.)

Computer Science, Northwestern University I believe that I am on a waitlist for Northwesteren, I am hoping to work with Prof. Kaitlin Smith. If you have better offers at hand, please reject NW, as this is my only chance to start PhD this upcoming fall(2024). And, I do really want to work in her group (Quantum Computing/Quantum Hardware)! If anyone has any information about this lab/group please contact me!! Thanks! I saw someone doing this type of entry, thought maybe it's a good idea to reduce my stress haha.
