Stephanie Li is leaving Indiana to go to Washington University in St. Louis.

Emailed to ask for an update or timeline on rejections; apparently the committee has not “completely closed deliberations,” so rejections won't go out yet even though acceptances and a waitlist have.

I didn't even read the letter, hah, so no comment on how classy it was. My LAST notification! Decision time...

Call from POI at 9 pm - totally unexpected. Invited to recruitment weekend during their grad conference with Lauren Berlant as keynote! So wish I could attend, but already accepted offer from another place.

"Dear applicant..." Considering that I probably paid about $3 per word for this rejection letter, they could at least do the courtesy of inserting my name in it.

Accepted off the wait-list I didn't know I was on. I keep sitting here saying, "I can't believe it! I can't believe it!" I had assumed an implicit rejection.
