Biology, University Of Pennsylvania I asked them via email and they replied "The Admissions Committee has reviewed all of the files and have selected candidates for interviews. Unfortunately, your application was not selected during this process. Though no official decisions have been made yet, it is unlikely that the Admissions Committee will select additional candidates for interviews. This year, we received many exemplary applications, and we thank you for your interest in the Biology Graduate Program."

Finance PhD, Rice University I am 1 of 10 applicants invited for an interview out of 150 applicants. If you have not received an interview invite I would no longer consider Rice an option. I wish all applicants the best during this stressful period of time. I have been extremely stressed waiting to hear back.

English Literature, Lehigh University I cannot believe my good luck; this was my first choice and I am incredibly excited! Not much information yet, I am up for a fellowship and will definitely apply for teaching assistantship when offered...best of luck to all other applicants! I know the waiting is killing us! (1/9)

Government Political Science (Comparative), Univ Of Colorado, Boulder After only getting a wait list at one school last year, nice to get an acceptance as my first result. For all those doing this a second time, hang in there.

Sociology, Harvard Graduate School Of Arts And Sciences 262 applicants, 21 finalists, 10 will be admitted, 2-5 will be waitlisted. Not sure if all finalists are being interviewed and not sure if all interviewees have been contacted. Committee meets on Sunday. This is my dream program, so I'm a nervous wreck 'til next week.
