Global Health, University Of Washington WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING. I made a major mistake in applying to this program. If you think this program is truly global health you are grossly mistaken! There is no actual global health experience, you are just a data monkey doing systematic/meta analyses. If you want to do real global health and community based research and you want to attend UW I suggest you get a PhD in Epidemiology or Health Systems. This program is a joke!

Classics (Classical Archaeology), Florida State University Accepted via website - I received an application for a university-wide fellowship yesterday, and checked my graduate status today to find an admittance. No other financial aid data is available yet, but as I understand it, the fellowship is only available to those receiving university funding.

Computer Science, Ohio State University (OSU) I was contacted by the Professor I mentioned in my SOP saying that I'm nominated for fellowship. I got research experience through a 3-year undergrad project and a 2-year grad project. I have 6 publications from 2nd tier conferences, 2 of which brought me the "best student paper award" and "best student paper award runner-up". Area is Data Mining and Machine Learning.

Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University Yay, got an admit!!!! I was rejected last year.. rnLearning Experience - admissions decisions are politically motivated - nothing is based on talent! Sad for research, good for people who got in! If you want to get admit - find a famous professor, do some research (data entry, some coding :-D) - ask him for letter - you will get an admit! No one cares about talent here. rn rnNo Publications.
