Graduate School Admission Results

MS in CS w/ Master's Thesis (and BS) from university in Big East conference. 1 journal publication (currently under review). GPA listed is for MS. Had interview with POI not mentioned in SOP last week, at the end of which he told me I would get a formal offer (which was received on 3/9). Marine veteran. First offer, almost certainly will accept.

TTPB: Yes, if you haven't anything from UIUC at this moment, it's 99.99% a rejection. I'm currently an undergraduate in UIUC and both of my POIs said that all PhD offers are out by 3.7 (virtual campus tour day for incoming PhDs). But still, you could try contact the department and try to get into the MSCS which I think is also a very decent program.

Decision letter attached to email as pdf though I got a different email from application portal to take the next step in my application (turned out this was for $500 deposit.) Received at 5:25 PM EST.

Can it be assumed that if we have heard nothing by this point, there is no hope? Purdue just had their prospective students event, and I assume UIUC is on a similar schedule.

I had applied to the PhD program with decent stats (3.71 GPA, several internships, a few papers), but received this offer for an MS today. Rejected PhD sadly.

I got an informal acceptance letter, but they said the official one will come within the next couple of weeks. :)

I reached my POI today and was told that the admissions this year were closed. It's sad but reasonable. I am not sure how many people are still waiting but good luck.

I'm the one who got the open house invitation yesterday. Just received email this afternoon with the official acceptance letter. Excited!

Email saying I've been recommended for admission and will receive an official letter soon.

Offered an Achievement Scholarship. From a satellite campus of a midwest R1 school. Did not take the GRE. 1 year of TA experience, 2 years of research experience, 2 pubs (one being an IEEE publication).
