Graduate School Admission Results

TTPB: Are you alright bro? The guy below you did not say anything about a group with 70-75%. He said he has 70-75% as his overall GPA from a college. I'm not sure if I'm missing something in this story that you had to reply something of that sort. Statement 1: is there a group of admitted students. Statement 2, his profile: 70-75% gpa.

TTPB. If you've received an admit but have decided not to attend, please decline ASAP. The application cycle has been grueling and people on the waitlist would appreciate it very much.

Ignore waitlist. TTPB: If only rejects are left, then why do they bother not sending them away. Why send only couple of rejects per day. They should rather give people waiting to hear back a sense of clarity.

I had put this on my safe school list. Anyway, I have a great offer from a better school. Honestly, since the process is so stochastic, I don't think these rejects represent my worth or academic calibre. To those accepted elsewhere but dejected, c'mon, stop fishing for validation through more admits. Be happy with what you have!

Supposed to be my safe school. Hurts a little but I have much better offers so it should be fine. Congrats to all those who got in.

Imperial undergrad from UK. This was my safety.. I've had no admits this season, wtf...

1 year full-time research experience. 2 AAAI, 1 ICLR and 1 Springer Nature papers. 1 in review at TPAMI and 1 in review at ICCV. Strong LoRs from Google Brain and Institute Chair Prof at IIT-Bombay. 1 AI startup internship, 2 research internships at top-tier labs, 2xGSoC in AI/ML. Strong research fit with profs and several National Awards. Well, it counted for nought. Congratulations to those who made it!

Not received a single admit yet. UCI was the safest university I had applied to this season. From a new IIIT, dept rank 1, three internships, 1 paper at international conference (best innovation award). My senior with a lower GPA and GRE than me got into UCI last year. I think the universities have got a lot of people to choose from this season.

MS CS Reject, Disappointed again :/ Is it always this hard, or am I just unworthy? Rejected from way too many this year. :'(

Generic reject mail. Quite sad. No Gre. Good Gpa from tier 2 school. 1 publication and ton of intern experience. Need to motivate self and prepare for a year or two and get going again! Congrats to all admits! And others well, keep motivated, work hard.. You'll get your results soon.! Cheers!!

Very shocked. Two IEEE conference papers(CVPR & ICME), 3.9+/4.0 GPA, GRE:329, 4.0, TOEFL: 105, several researchers experience, at least one strong LoR. I consider this as a very safety. Fortunately, already have admit from much better top schools. Very hurt, because it's a very lower ranking school.

Shocked more than disappointed as I considered this as a safety. Have admits from much better schools. But yeah, very very weird admission cycle.

Already have admits from the Top 15, but still, rejection hurts especially if it's from a much lower ranking school compared to other admits. I thought I would get in, but 2021 admission season is crazy and highly unpredictable.
