GPA and GRE scores could have been better, but show your interest in research!

Made to wait for four months since submission to get a generic rejection email, even after I'd submitted well over a month before the application deadline. I only wish I had known considering that many universities/programs with much cheaper application fees do much better at correspondence with prospective students.

Feels good to finally throw away that McDonalds Cashier Application. 3.5 years of biophysics research, two years of physical chem research, 1 REU, underwhelming GPA and GRE scores, 1 publication in preparation (leading author).

3 publications (2 first author), 4 LOR's 2 of them very strong

Finally got position with my dream school,Best of luck those still waiting for the offers.

I have no publ., 6 month work exp as R&D at Ph.company, Recently enrolled in master degree outside US in medicinal chemistry, I received generic email, I feel afraid to be rejected from all universities I applied

1 year undergrad research, 1 publication, International Research Internship, & 2 years Organic TA

Got a phone call from PiBS, official letter will be sent out by noon tomorrow. Super happy about this!

MSE sends out acceptance letters mid februrary usually, as well as first round of rejects around that time. These spots will number in the 20s-exceptional students who get full rides for phd. Everyone else is in waitlist until a professor decides they want someone from that pool. Also They will only accept students who are funded by professor, fellowship, or other external means. No parents or vegas card counting don't count. This is a new rule they have. Because of this rule, I had to get in through chemistry, after reaching out to like 7 professors. Best of luck to you.

had an interview before, but was told later that I failed, so the rejection is expected.

ca. 2 yrs undergrad research, post-baccalaureate national research fellowship (one year), ca. 1.5 years in industry in a research position. No publications. SO EXCITED!
