3 Professors expressed interest in my proposal. They enthusiastically asked me to apply. What is the point of speaking to potential supervisors if it has no role to play in admitting students.

Focus on European History. Not surprised, but not upset as I've gotten offers from schools with much stronger programs in my specialty. Only applied because I was sent a fee waiver.

Feeling a little bit sad for being rejected after an interview. Luckily got some good offers already. Though I was expecting that a kind POI would ant least inform me of this rejection before the official notice. Well, afterwards I understand it's not their obligation to do so.

Disappointed but not surprised. Still no email after a few hours, but a rejection letter in my portal. US history, gender and sexuality subfield.
