Working in Oracle since Nov 2013. 1 industrial internship and 1 research internship before that.

To the poster below, I call them last week, and I have been told that they needed 4-6 week after your application got completed and once they made their decision they will notified the applicant whether it is rejection or acceptance. Good luck for both of us..

Does anyone who applied to PhD originally and is being considered for MS heard anything from Columbia?

Any idea when Columbia starts rolling out more admits ? Saw a few admits a couple of weeks back but would really like to know if more admits are in the offing,

Are they done with the admits? I have not heard from them. already 5 rejects :-(

I was interviewed by one of the faculties there from which I came to know that they accept max of 190 students.Columbia admission process is HIGHLY selective....on the other hand I got acceptance from Upenn and cornell and a reject from Harvard& Columbia.....and about the admits posted on April 23...the reason is that CU has rolling admissions with a deadline far more later than that of all others hence for those guys who submitted their app close to the DL, the admission process finishes only in april......

So excited! Unusual SOP and LOR. Non-CS background. 2 years work exp in Finance and IT startup. Submitted in November.

I have seen few rejection posts on the portal lately. Any idea by when they will send all the notifications? I'm worried now :-(

I'm worried now. Still no notification from university and are they done with admits ?

Was worried give the amount of time elapsed, but got into Columbia's Computer Science Master's Program focused in Machine Learning. Will be deciding between here and NYU Data Science. 162V/170Q/5.0W, Econ and CS undergrad double major, been working for a few years in a non-cs role.

which one is better? Cornell or Columbia?

Have been seeing intermittent admits since march. Anyone knows if columbia is done giving out admits?

To the post below, last year they gave admits till 15th April. I'm also waiting for them and worried now.

Has columbia sent any rejects or admits lately? Their acceptance rate is already pretty low. Now i'm worried if this is also gonna be a reject !!!

Can't believe my eyes! Finally got accepted. Still awaiting CMU but not much expectations from that. Will be joining Columbia 99%.
