Graduate School Admission Results

So the results will be uploaded on 30th? A few observations, saw the profiles of the candidates who have been accepted. Was surprised to see the profiles and wondered if the Ivy league status is as selective as they claim. It is not tough to get in, just a lil bit of luck, have seen generic profiles make in. If mass rejections are coming up then Columbia must face consequences of wasting 3.5 months for doing so, an applicant pays money to be reviewed and needs answers to decide on other programs and get Visas as well. Reflects extremely poor on the program and University. All the best guys, brace yourselves.

For the WL, we are finally almost there. they said April 30. So, only two more days to go. After that if you don't receive any response from them. Then, you defiantly need to give up on them :p. I am waiting for their response too thou I have a strong feeling it is a rejection with a small hope of acceptance

TTPB: (Ignore WL) And to add to that, even if you do get accepted, they would only give you 2 weeks to make a decision and a $4,000 security deposit to pay (which is a lot). I submitted my application 5 months ago and still no status. I feel like I should just give up at this point lol.

Ignore WL: This is getting unacceptable... and it's hurting my ability to decide on other schools... If this is how serious they treat us as applicants, I think it reflects on the integrity of the program as well...

Ignore WL. Emailed regarding application status, never got an reply. I think if people are on the waiting list, at least they supposed to send out notification about it like what other institutions did. Anyway I will go to another program.

Haven't heard back from the program either. It has been more than 3 months, I wonder whats taking them this long to decide.

Why is the university not giving rejections ? Just let us know we are rejected, or something. Why is the university delaying everything. it is almost the last week of april.Has someone contacted the department lately ?

Ignore WL: Anyone hear back from admissions yet? It's past mid-April where they said the delayed results would come out, and this is getting ridiculous.

For the guy WL asking. I am waiting same as you. I saw someone posted his acceptance yesterday. So, there might be a possibility that you get accepted. However, I believe those who got accepted had already received the notification. Now, they want to see who reject the offer in order to send the notification to the next inline. So, you need to hope that not all accept the offer and you are close in line. Best of luck

Ignore Waitlist. Has anyone heard back from the Department? Any chance of getting an admit now?

Conditional offer from UBC Vancouver. Conditional upon 3k CAD, and sending official transcripts and certificates. Says nothing about scholarship or anything. Full payment disclosed. (45k for Intl. Stu). Also says to prepare for physical presence in August 21, as classes may be held on-campus.

Ignore Wl, can we just mass mail them its been more than 10 weeks, and we have payed almost 80 dollars to apply, we deserve timely results from any university.This is not done. So annoying !

ignore wl. Has anyone being rejected or anyone heard of others being rejected by this program? I'm worrying are they gonna release all rejections at the end.....

For those who are still waiting for their decisions, most of the admitted students were given their deadline of paying deposit. Could be mid-April or even end-April, depending on the date we received the decision. So if you didn't get the decision, maybe you are somewhere in the waitlist.
