- Got the following message today "Thank you for your application to the M.S. in Data Science program. While your background and experiences are on the right track, the Committee will be moving forward with other candidates at this time. The applications received this year for the Fall 2018 term have been extremely competitive." Was asked if I wanted to be considered for the part-time, non-degree Certification of Professional Achievement program in Data Science, idea being that you could complete some of the degree reqs and reapply at a later date if you wanted to get masters. Already got admits from other reputable degree programs so will not be requesting consideration for Columbia's certification program.
