I can't believe it.

Offered full funding from a lab back in October before applying in November. Honours/Minor/1yr research experience, no publications other than my thesis.

Ah, crap. Deally wanted to go here. Rejected without even an interview. I thought the fit was noce, no idea what went wrong.

US citizen but did high school+undergrad in India. Did not have any interviews, received the rejection email from the admissions committee.

2 papers, 1.5 years in industry (data science), 1.2 years research assistant. Rejected after interview. Wishing the best to everyone!

CNUP only accepts 3 perspective students in 65 international applicants(this is confirmed by a member in the admission committee, I'm not joking), and this is their "tradition" for many years, of course it's fxxking unfair after all I stayed up all night to do the interview. It's funny that nowadays schools in the southern part of the US emphasized diversity and inclusion while school in the northern part just ignore this problem. So here is the process for international students acceptance: after the application submission, top 10 students will get a pre-screening interview before the formal one, then they are admitted to compete for that 3 positions. And what's the number of offers to in-state students? Almost 30 this year. FXXK the CNUP. Of course this is just my complaint, it's really upset to get a rejection in the morning, especially after they sent me the CNBC program opening day invitation, I thought I will be admitted, why you rejected me after giving me hope? But life still goes on, I will participate in the recruiting events of Northwestern University in the midnight, BEST LUCK TO ME AND TO ALL OF YOU.

Rejected after interview. Very surprised.

NSGP, rejected after interview. Generic rejection email, they don't even have the audacity to send an email from the director of this program, but have you go through rigorous virtual recruitment. No mention of stipend throughout that process either. I've had other admits, and industry offers. Unsure how you can claim to want to train people if you only accept those with tons of pubs/conferences, and trying to meet your diversity quota.

Received a call very early in the morning so I missed it, but they left a voicemail saying I've been accepted to the program! No official letter yet though, I'm assuming that will come eventually, and they said in the voicemail they are planning an in-person event in early April. Congrats to everyone!! :)

I was invited for the first interview and then waitlisted after the interview.
