Graduate School Admission Results

Finally, my dream school said yes! offer with 20,000 for working 10.5 months/year for 4 years. It was a long way to be here but you should believe you can. Do your best and never give up~ hope meet you in Rice!

This year our department received a large number of applications for graduate study and the applicant pool was extremely competitive. Since we are able to offer admission to only a small fraction of the applicants (fewer than 18%), we cannot accept many students that are well qualified for graduate work.

Has anybody heard anything about Rice Mechanical Engineering?

To the rice university poster below, no mails from the department yet ..... and is it bulk rejects that they were going to send from April 15th?? :(

Did anyone get any email from Rice? I called them today and they were supposed to send emails by 5PM but still no news.

Still no response from rice, maybe the waitlist pool is too big to get enrolled? anyone heard of the 2nd round offer?

Such a long wait just to be rejected. Oh well. I already got into another program with funding.

Was placed on the "third round". I called them today and they said all the offers has been made.

Called the dept. They are going to start sending emails with decision tomorrow.
