They didn't even email me and I only found out because I checked my status. Fairly rude since my degree was from here to begin with but I am moving on. Congratulations to everyone who got in.

TPB: the email read "We have just finished our review of the PhD Program applications for the Economics dissertation area at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. After much deliberation, we would like to place you on our waitlist. We hope to be able to make you an offer in the future as information regarding pending offers becomes available. We received many strong applications this year, and we are unable to make offers to all the applicants whose promise and qualifications we regard highly. As such, we hope that you will choose to remain on the waitlist. We will notify you immediately if and when we are in a position to offer you a place in the PhD Program. In the meantime, if you receive other offers and need to make a decision before you hear from us again or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us."

TPB asked about the 'up to' 22,000 funding and they confirmed it was 22,000- perhaps email them for clarification

Accepted via email (did not go to Spam folder, arrived in inbox). Acceptance also reflected in portal. Application submitted January 7, processed February 2, accepted March 2. No GRE as it wasn't required.

Math Background - Linear Algebra, Multivariable Calculus, Real Analysis, Probability, Statistical Methods No formal Econ background. No Funding.
