Graduate School Admission Results

TBP: Had the interview. Said they received 400 apps, shortlisted 80-100 (do not remember precisely) and are planning to admit about 15 people (MRes/PhD)

TPB: Looking at past UVA admissions behavior, it's probably a modestly positive signal that you haven't heard anything yet. They tend to release rejections first followed by acceptances and waitlists on a rolling basis.

To the guy who was interviewed, could you tell me what kind of questions you had?

TTPB: were you informed that you were waitlisted? since they sent acceptances on the 12th and there are no more posts about it my anxiety is killing me! I think i'm expecting a rejection at this point, but there's still a light of hope in my heart saying i might be waitlisted. (i wasn't waitlisted, just didn't know how else to post this)

Is there anyone else who hasn't heard from Virginia? They've sent out A, R, and WL. I don't know what to expect

Nice zoom call. Fully funded.

First, got the email from the graduate school to check the Portal. Then, within a half hour, got the next email from the Department with funding letter. RAShip for 24+k for five years

If you haven't yet been rejected by one/more of these schools as I have, keep up your hope :) Good luck!

TPB: Did you hear from Sauder or the VSE? Can you elaborate a bit on the notification (a letter from Henry Siu, etc.?) This is my top choice, so eager for info!

Did any shortlisted candidates for this program get a notification? I have heard nothing and fear rejection; this is my top choice program.

Anyone knows about the acceptance rate?
