Graduate School Admission Results

The department had told me informally last week when I asked by email, and then I got another email from them this weekend to 'officially' unofficially tell me I was in....and then finally the real email came this morning. Apparently the Grad School is having issues sending out decisions in a timely manner this year.

I had an Interview in mid-January, I was told that most likely I'll be accepted.

Didnt hear about funding yet, told that 2 profs want to work with me and I should talk to them about RAship

E-mailed several professors for a place in their lab. Got an e-mail saying my application was under review but that they were having difficulty finding funding and that I should consider getting a masters instead of a PhD.

Just received RAship from a professor's email notification, but the official letter is still on the way.

I emailed the HPM admissions coordinator b/c I have hard response dates for other schools to secure scholoarships - said the admissions decision was sent to the graduate admissions dept on the 9th of March, but it would take a couple weeks because of the number of applicants. Responses will be mailed.

They said that they are sending out results via post and e-mail within in one week or two. I couldn't wait so I asked them the decision by e-mail.

Postmarked Feb 24. No mention of funding

First rejection. Sad since it's my top choice, but I have other offers thankfully. Ah well.
