I have not received a response from the department.. and I applied like 2 weeks before the deadline back in January. To the posts that received rejections around March 15, do you if the Department is still making decisions? At least I would like to have my rejection letter or something already, they have not sent me anything. |

(I'm the same person who got that email on Nov 30th). I'm not sure about how they process international applications. I'm a Canadian, though. I also have a college diploma and a BA Honours from another Canadian university. So I'm not sure what's going on. I agree that if they were going to say no they might have already rejected us. Hopefully no news means good news. |

I submitted my application about two months ago and had not received a response as of 4/7 (enrollment deadline for all schools I accepted to was 4/14) so I emailed admissions to check on the status. Received a very nice email from a professor in the program on 4/9 explaining that admissions believed I wouldn't handle a one-year intensive program well. She tried to push back given my background (I got my undergrad in three years vs. four) but they were adamant. I am supposed to get a formal rejection from Brown, but as of 4/12 I got nothing. Disappointed more by the inefficient admissions department than my rejection. |
