Subfield Cosmology. I literally don't care at all because I just got into my top choice Berkeley.

My top choice!! Subfield cosmology, offer letter mentions that there were 1200 applicants for the Physics PhD program this year.

Undergrad 3.8GPA, Hep-ex research for two years, good recs, some grade-level classes (QM2, Math methods, QFT1)

Hep-th/string theory. Master's degree GPA :3.9, Two manuscripts in process, Top LatinAmerican uni. 4 years research experience in my hometown university and in Cambridge.

Did anyone else's rejection letter say "we were tremendously impressed by your accomplishments and future plans."

hep-ex. Research but no publications. Had an informal talk with POI before applications were due.

Anyone still waiting on a decision from Cornell? The website says "All admissions decisions for applications for fall will be made by March" so I am not sure what to think :|
