Graduate School Admission Results

I live in the area also...I recently applied to DePaul's HCI program and got in pretty easily. You can complete the whole thing online if you're interested in that. I'm considering doing it online while working but also thinking about relocating to Chicago since I really want to have the benefit of being a part of the program's community. To the other poster, congrats on the school in Sweden - sounds awesome!

To the post below, did you get reject? I send email to Dr. Kumar yesterday and he said they are still reviewing the packages from applications.

I'm waiting as well. I talked to him the other day and he said by this weekend (4/7 - 4/8) the program will send out emails. I haven't heard anything yet. (it is now 1:28PM 4/8/2018)

Have received the email from the program director and decision must be made by April 16.

Why I never got any emails from the department about anything.

Rejected due to limited space. Extremely surprised and disappointed but there is nothing we can do now but wait for next year or try a different program.

Is anyone else still waiting for results? I never got an update after last month's update on results being e-mailed by the first week of April at the latest...

Wanted to share this update with you guys. I received a reply from the Director today which said "The process is still ongoing. Thank you for your patience".

Even now is 4/15. It is still no reply from the department.

We're approaching end of April and I still haven't heard back from them... I'm starting to wonder if I was accepted and the school is just not going to let us know? I look at my phone every morning with anxiety, but nothing.

Anyone else still waiting to hear back..? Or have heard from the program director? It's almost May...

I checked today on MySJSU. I still haven't received an e-mail about admissions status or anything. This is my only rejection of all the schools that I applied to, which is fine since it wasn't the right fit (not enough courses in HCI or design)... It just happened to be the cheapest option lol. I've already accepted an offer at a HCI grad program elsewhere, so no harm done. Good luck to everyone else!

Haven't received an email or anything either. I just checked on SJSU website and it says "Denied by Department". I am honestly so surprised given my background design and HCI. I'm going to email the department head and ask for feedback. Has anyone been admitted...?

I was interviewed with one of the faculty members, and he admitted that everything is OK and my resume looks impressive. I have several papers, books and worked as a reviewer in international journals. I am shocked about this decision of rejection. It seems to me that there is no reasons and logical process for providing offer.
