French Literature Graduate School Admission Results

TTPB: I applied on 1/11. My application status is the same now as then: submitted. Infer that I have been waitlisted. Emailed DGS on 4/12: was told that people offered admission had until 4/15 to decide, whereupon the admissions committee would reconvene. No word since 4/12.

E-mail from DLCL Chair. Nice program!

Accepted but unable to offer me an assistantship, so I will decline

"Unofficial" offer, but possible teaching fellowship and tuition remission after grad school approval!! Beaucoup d'amour à tous !

First acceptance. Less than a week after a most pleasant Zoom interview en français.

My interests do not fit very well in this program and the interview was not very exciting

"To the point" email: I regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission to our doctoral program. Unfortunately, the Graduate School allots a limited number of fellowships, which makes it impossible for us to offer admission to all the very qualified candidates who apply to our program.

1/8- second interview with OSU, this time with POI/potential advisor

Despite me attempting to contact the French department SEVERAL times (calls, emails to various professors, etc.), no one acknowledged my request to include an updated resume with the complete grades from my master's degree to my already submitted application. I am extremely dissatisfied with the lack of professionalism from this department, which therefore failed to even conduct a comprehensive analysis of my grades, as only some of the grades from my master's degree were available upon the initial submission of my application. All I can say it's a big loss for them - and a reflection of how they run their department.
