Graduate School Admission Results

GPA is graduate (Distinction from UK MSc Econ). I read in econjobrumors that chances of being accepted from Zurich's waitlist are super low. Any clue if this is true?

On behalf of the Zurich Graduate School of Economics (Zurich GSE), I am informing you that you are on the waiting list for admission to our Doctoral Program, starting in August 2021. My colleagues and I found your application interesting. However, since we had a large number of applications, we are not able to offer immediate admission and/or funding to many candidates. Yours was one such application. That being said, we historically have been able to admit and offer funding to a number of students from our waiting list, but we recommend you to also focus on other options. TPB: I'm currently on the waitlist at the University of Michigan and didn't submit GRE scores. I remember seeing a post by someone who said they got in there with no GRE as well. Not sure about other programs, though.

Is there anyone who has been accepted without GRE (optional submission)? I think the U.S. programs only made money by suggesting that option.
