I am writing to let you know that we now have our finalists for admission to the 2023 graduate cohort. Applicants who were notified of their status and completed the registration process are on the finalist list. If you did not receive a notification or if you were notified and did not register, we will move your application to our waitlist. If a place on the finalist list becomes available, we will move applicants onto it in a priority order determined by the admissions committee. All final admissions decisions will be announced by Friday, February 24.

Applied to the joint Poli Scie Intl Affairs program. notified via email today at 10 AM (PT) that the committee decided not to select me and instead they are advising me to apply to their master's program. It is odd as I see no one else claiming to receive such an email.

Surprised, given I was accepted to every other program I applied (including Ivies). Graduated in '19, work experience not relevant to degree. No publications or significant research experience.

submitted my application 11/30/2021 and I have not heard the result until today, 04/15/2022. I was told to wait few more weeks and I took it as a rejection. Ridiculously long and brutal process.

This refers to the MRES/PHD in Economics and Management. I just wanted to post this for future applicants in the next cycle to have a clear picture of the time frame of the decisions on this new program. I put it as my first choice (not regular Econ, and they liked it). I was invited to an interview on the 28th of Jan, which occurred on the 7th of Feb. I was initially told they were going to make their decisions very shortly but then I got an email saying even though I was a strong candidate they received a new batch of applications that they were reviewing (people rejected in Econ). Finally, on the 12th of March, I was rejected. I got a great waitlist at a top 10 school recently so I am happy but this was quite painful. Tips for the interview...they will press you on your research proposal and they will also ask if you would be ready to accept the offer quickly. I didn't say yes seeing as the application cycle had just begun but that might have hurt my chances.
