10 years work experience, qualifying GRE, poor GPA. Might be too old. Generic form letter.

Ditto. I got the same msg. Curious to know if invites were sent after the 14th. This week ends today and nothing is out till now. What time did the invites go out on 14th? Anybody with any luck today?

To the poster below: the accepted students have until april 15 to say whether or not they are enrolling, so WL students will probably know after that.

To the poster below enquiring about nyu, I believe they will be offering around 120 admits. This will surely go out in 3 waves(based on past admit data) roughly in a span of 3 weeks. Just keep ur fingers crossed. goodluck

As I said earlier, its 120 admits and not 120 students. Generally adcoms send admits 1.2 to 2 times the number of students they expect to enroll. AFAIK class entering fall 2015 had 60 enrollments, for which 120 admits were issued. I do not foresee any increase in number of enrollments or admits offered.

There is a guy below feeding us questionable info. He has posted as different people both rejected and accepted into the program (look for same typo "New York Univeristy"). Waiting is already horrible enough, go find something meaningful to do and stop messing with us. Based on last year's postings, I doubt if there is a second and third wave of admits.

To poster below: They confirmed on facebook page that decisions go out in waves - and they did the same last year (more than one students got admitted on 3/31). An incoming class of size 60 and about 100 admits are what I heard so his/her numbers are not inaccurate. Also, the typo is in the auto completion of the result submission form (and is above the correct ones) - see for yourself.

Continue: I know the feeling and would not ask you to just relax, but you applied to an advanced degree in DATA SCIENCE and you are supposed to make informed judgements (yes there are data besides posts on thegradcafe), not to accuse people w/o basis.

I have heard from others through facebook that acceptances have been sent to some Chinese students who are not residing in USA and not affiliated to NYU. Fwiw, i havent heard of any Indian who has received a decision (a/r) yet.

I called the university up they said all results to be declared by 25th .. so we will just have to wait.

I called the university up yesterday they told me all results to be declared by 25th March . However I feel there are very few admits given till now or people have not posted their admits !

Got the rejection email today, good luck to whoever is still waiting.
