I was invited to interview with NYU on 3/24/22 after having submitted my application on 1/13/22 and had zero communication from them in between this time. I talked with other applicants who had interviewed and been accepted before I received my invitation, and ultimately concluded I was no longer in the running...While it turns out I did get an interview and would have the opportunity to gain admissions, I have decided that my other acceptances are a better fit for me personally, am honored by the merit awards I received, and am excited about my future in graduate school & the field of art therapy! I hope someone who had NYU as their top choice is able to get in -- and I hope all of this information is helpful to someone else in the admissions process (you still might get an interview with NYU) or future applicants applying next year!

I actually have heard nothing back yet. I was wondering if anyone who has applied to NYU's masters program in English and American literature has heard back?? Anything?

Took them a long time to release responses but finally got an update!

Wasn't thrilled with the decision but also could have been worse. Just need to keep waiting.

With $10,000 scholarship for both years, and was accepted into their dual degree/certificate program. Still not convinced that it would be worth it, and much prefer a smaller program. Grateful but ugh - decisions.
