True waitlist, got an email about it this morning. anyone else also get wailisted?

to the person below accepted on the 24th of March, were you interviewed by a PI and when ?

Got a mail from the ECE dept. Recommended for admission to Grad. Dean's office. The email also had an official letter and funding info ( Tuition + GSR). They have asked me to give a reply by 15th April. First acceptance. (Track: Computer Eng. in ECE dept) Really excited!!!!! Profile: Top 7 IIT Grad. , Decent CG:8.5( Had really good grades in Dept courses and also did dept. Honors), No publication, 2 Years Company Exp(Startup in the same research field), Final Year thesis also in the same field. GRE: 325, TOEFL 104( Don't think these 2 matters, but just act as a qualifying criterion).

TTPB (those who got rejected on 19 March): Did they actually post a rejection letter on the portal? Are they not considering PhD rejects for Masters?

I did finish the survey but did not email about the visit day. I will email them now,

Has anyone on the waitlist heard back after the initial notification? I wonder if they are inviting anyone on the WL to their visit day.

TTPB: I am the same guy(ai hardware) who had the interview with POI. He sent me a mail saying he has put in the paper work for giving the official offer. He said due to spring break the process is slow. He said he will be giving me GSR( RA) offer. So I am expecting an official offer this by next week.

TTPB (person from AI hardware track who interviewed with PoI on 17th March): Did you hear back from them? I saw a few MS/PhD acceptances and rejections here; could anyone share if all acceptances out?

Did people already get the decisions?

MArch + work experience in architecture and tech. Interview went well. Applied for SHM track. Recommended for PhD, accepted to MS. No funding, so may need to defer by one year to save more money. Super excited to be an admit. Dream school.

No email. Status updated on website.

I was accepted 29 January 2021 and just now on 3/19 have declined the offer. I was an out-of-state student offered full funding (tuition, TA-ship). I hope this helps someone on the waitlist or who hasn't heard back yet.
