Masters in marine science. 3.9 grad GPA. Multiple years of research experience at FFRDCs. Very disappointing. Posting this info so others can commiserate

3.96 grad GPA. Master's in Marine Biology. Little over two years of full-time research. Really disappointed by the results, thought I put a strong application together... "As you know, our program is very small so you should not be too discouraged by this news."

Seems to be a crowded year for this program. Hope I could get in. (Thankfully I already got an offer from top school) (3a/1r/1w/3p)

No faculty responded to me when I was inquiring so this was expected.
