Anthropology (cultural), University Of Texas, Austin (UT Austin) To the poster asking about UTAustin below, I emailed Adriana about whether they had contacted ppl for interviews etc and she said 'By now, prospective admits have been contacted- I'm holding off on further notification because we haven't sent out all of our letters yet.' :s

Communication Disorders / Speech-Language Pathology, George Washington University To the GW post below, if there are 200 on the waitlist, does that mean that all the initial acceptances have been sent out? I haven't heard anything via email, website, mail...my app is still in review according to the site.

Government, Cornell University It was an honor to merely have been considered. This was my last notification (2/7) and I thank god all the waiting is over. Between application fees, GREs, ordering transcipts, and campus visits I'm a couple thousand dollars into this grad school thing. Now to just make a decision about which less than elite program I want to attend (both of which are in much nicer locations than Ithaca).

Sociology, University Of Pennslyvania Called grad coordinator. She told me that all admitted applicants had already been contacted. She also said the waiting list was still being compiled. That does not make one terribly hopeful

Philosohpy, University Of Texas, Austin (UT Austin) was this on the utdirect website? My blue box still says all "We have received all credentials required to process your application. Your file has been forwarded to the Graduate Committee for review." I wonder what it means... do they ever send out waitlists in waves?
