Department Of Statistics, Texas A & M University (TAMU) Our Graduate Committee has just finished making all of the 1st round offers for PhD applicants. Your file has been placed in a pool of applicants for possible consideration of 2nd round offers. If a large number of the 1st round offers are declined, the Committee will go back to the pool of applicants, re-rank them and make a 2nd round of offers sometime mid-April.

English, Yale University The usual email to check website. Same letter they send out every year. Good thing I didn't pay the application fee. I suspect they will be sending out all the rejections today, as they already made offers of admission more than two weeks ago.

American History (Urban), Michigan Ann Arbor "We received over 365 applications for a very limited number of positions, and the final admissions list includes approximately 10 percent of the total applicant pool. The History Department's commitment to providing a multiyear funding package to all admitted students means that many excellent applicants do not receive offers of admission." UM was more like crap shot than an actual option. I've got two UC acceptances so I'm good.
