TTPB: Area I had applied to was Robotics, Instrumentation and Control in Mechanical Engineering

Unfortunately, we are unable to admit you to our graduate program. This year we received a record number of applicants, but we were only able to admit approximately 1 in 10. As a result, we had to turn away hundreds of highly-qualified applicants. We truly wish you well in your future endeavors.

ttpb: Sorry to hear about the rejections. But, could you all please mention what area of concentration you had selected? It would be very helpful if you could also mention the time at which you received the emails? TIA P.S. : I haven't received any emails yet. My anxiety is on the next level right now.

Thermal-fluid systems concentration. Two conference proceedings and undergrad research experience at Georgia Tech(Exchange Program) and Los Alamos National Lab. Unofficial straight offer without interview from ME Grad Office as same as below.

Updated: Okay guys the news is if any one received their decision on 16 Feb amount to high percent of acceptances. if you did not received anything, i feel be prepared for a rejection. There will be few more acceptances but they will be very few. So major chunk will be sure shot rejection. Unfortunately it is what it is. stay safe.

Applied for Math or MechE, accepted to MechE

I emailed the MechE grad admin staff. They said the following: Some decisions have been made, but we hope to have decisions for all applicants in the next week or so. You will receive a notification via email at that time.

ttpb: I checked the previous years posts on this website (they're on page 4/5 right now) for MechE masters. Although I suppose it's possible that people didn't report the correct dates.

ttpb: How did you come to that conclusion? Based on previous trends, PhD/MS decisions are released first, then terminal MS decisions are released after. Regardless, both are released in waves.
