Graduate School Admission Results

1.5 years research experience (3 months full time), 1 co-author paper, 1 soon to be submitted first author paper, 2.5 years teaching experience.

I was not able to take the GRE, although it was required. A month ago the department head said they were "very interested in my app" but she wasn't sure my application would be considered or not because of the missing scores. I emailed today and she answered saying they only took people who "had taken the GRE as instructed." Lmao. It's a pandemic and I'm getting my Master's at the moment. Didn't realize it would all ride on the GRE.

Interviewed with PI on 6th, Jan, open house interview on 10th Jan. PI contacted me that they are planning to offer me a position 4 days after open house. Got the official update on application system today.

What is the stipend amount of a fully-funded offer?

My portal still says pending, but I emailed the director of admissions for the program to notify them that I will be attending a different program. I hope this helps others who are still waiting to hear!

Offered admission with no funding. Pls is anyone in the same situation as mine?

Other: 4/3/21 Declined my offer from 2/26/21 to OSU due to no funding. I received funding from 2 other Ohio schools.

Will most likely be declining due to late acceptance/communication and lack of funding from program.

Got an email from the department. Waiting on a second email from the graduate school. No word on funding.

TPB: Re OSU, first year funding comes from fellowships which have already been decided and offered. I received one (26k first year) but am declining the offer tomorrow (need to double check something at the school I'm accepting first). Maybe they'll have it trickle down to wait list offers, no idea how it works. For the Duke poster, if you didn't get interviewed off the wait list it's very unlikely you'll get an offer. If you did, I was told it'll likely come down to the 15th. I'll be declining my waitlist spot (I was interviewed) tomorrow as well.

To offer holders: Anyone accepted after the first round in January? I saw a post with a funding package for 4 years(2-5). Is it unlikely for applicants accepted off wait lists to get fully funded offers for 5 years?
