Graduate School Admission Results

Seeing all posted acceptances have a 3.9-4.0 GPA leads me to think most of y'all are not even double majors who took courses that genuinely pushed you to your limits and challenged you to think in new ways outside of philosophy and as a philosopher. Philosophy is difficult. Getting A's in undergraduate courses philosophy and humanities courses is not. It staggers me how hardly anyone with less than a 3.85 posts an acceptance, if that even happens at all. If there are less 3.9's applying in philosophy, then adcoms have to put more effort in assessing our applications. Would be interesting to see how many of those rejected have that high of a GPA, because I'm aware that it can still happen. Just trying to keep those who are probably way too proud about their extremely high GPA as a philosophy major in check.

i took a one gap year after uc berkeley. my gpa is from undergrad and i did not take the gre. i was emailed about a portal update that showed the rejection. it's for the best since the one scholar whom i'd work with is close to retirement and apparently doesn't work with students from my community, even tho her research is heavily focused on them --- bad, weird sign. congratulations and best of luck to all admits tho! stats so far: 1r, 1w, 4a, 1p.

IGNORE INTERVIEW. I'm curious if anyone else has heard from this program? I see one response so far and I'm just curious if this is a rolling thing or what? I did interview in January.
