- i took a one gap year after uc berkeley. my gpa is from undergrad and i did not take the gre. i was emailed about a portal update that showed the rejection. it's for the best since the one scholar whom i'd work with is close to retirement and apparently doesn't work with students from my community, even tho her research is heavily focused on them --- bad, weird sign. congratulations and best of luck to all admits tho! stats so far: 1r, 1w, 4a, 1p.
