University of Pennsylvania Graduate School Admission Results

I am in a master’s program and have a first author paper. Heard back very quickly.

This is my third time applying to PhD programs. The Graduate Group in Ancient History has interviewed me both previous times I've applied, but they have not made me an offer of admission either time. My understanding is that they interview a fairly large number of applicants. They send the same email to everyone they request to interview each year. 0a/0r/0w/1i/7p. GPA is master's.

I have research and clinical experience.

Received email invite 1.9.25 with an option of interview dates in Feb

I worked as a lab technician for 1.5 years before beginning to apply for graduate schools. Through this job, I was able to present a poster at a conference and obtain other publications. This was a major talking point for my interviews and made up for a somewhat lower GPA.

Low cGPA but last 3 years is a 3.9/4.0. 2.5 years of research experience, 1 first author IEEE conference paper. Strong LORs (did research under all my LORs)
