Oxford University Graduate School Admission Results

Ignore waitlist. haven't heard from these schools. any idea?

Admitted off the waitlist. Received a phone call from the director of admissions informing me of my offer, followed by an email with the official letter.

@TTPB I've heard from Scripps who have passed on my application to Oxford who is now assessing it. But haven't heard back from Oxford having put in the same application onto their graduate admissions portal

Heartbroken, but I suppose it makes sense given how competitive this programme is. I have a first authored paper, social science UG from RG in UK, etc. Congrats to those admitted and good luck to the rest!

Well. I have applied for this program for 3 years in a row. This time I got an interview, but it was a joke. The professors who interviewed me believed that I was another candidate for half of the interview. Very ridiculous. Can't believe Oxford is such an institute. I'd say if you are rejected, it may be the case that they mistook you as well. So, don't be upset...

Ignore waitlist. Still waiting. No update from both sides. Does anyone know any information of this program? Thanks!

Interviewed for ICSS but got offered a place on SDS - unexpected, but I'm excited!

Applied for Jan 22 deadline. Submitted Jan 4, interviewed Feb 22, admitted Mar 18. Email received ~5PM GMT from admission office. Strong work experience, LOR, GPA; mediocre undergrad. Good luck to future applicants!

Applied from a top American university - coursework was largely unrelated to the program. Very excited to be attending - good luck to everyone still waiting

Ahhh, I can't believe it!! Still waiting to hear from a college and about funding/scholarships, hopefully those decisions will be soon to follow.

Invited for an interview this week. Excited but also freaking out!

Beyond thrilled, in disbelief, not even sure what to do with myself after hearing back. Wanted to jump on here and share the news because I almost did not apply to this program. They mention on their website that successful students typically have extensive research, high GPAs, even publications, and my biggest selling point was research experience. Didn't have any pubs, science GPA was a 3.2-3.3 with a humanities degree bringing my cumulative up. Did not do a post bacc or take time off. For those that don't have the several pubs, +3.7 GPA, etc but are passionate about the science they have done and this program, apply!! I was surprised during my interview at how much they cared about other experiences I had, my path to science, etc, and didn't just grill at my research or lack of publications/limited success in science classes. Very excited.
