Submitted on Jan 20th. has anybody heard anything about the Turing Studentship interviews yet?

I am quite disappointed. I expected an Interview at least.

I guess they are sending out decisions today - to the poster below: I am sorry about that. Does anyone know whether they will also be sending out interview invitations or whether shortlisted applicants have already been notified?

Applied by January deadline: first class degree from a top institution, dozen of conference reports, first author publication, good reference letters. It seems my proposal didn't suit them :-).

Found this in the admission's website: Interviews are held as part of the admissions process, although some students will be admitted without an interview. If a student clearly exceeds all the admission criteria and their proposed research is innovative and can be supervised at the Oxford Internet Institute then they may be made an offer without an interview. Well there is still a chance even if you aren't invited to the interview (although it might be a slim one as only exceptional applicants would be admitted without any interview). Please keep updating guys, I'd like to hear some news about MSc at OII. I don't think anyone has had final words from them

No notification so far... I don't think I'm exceptional enough to be admitted without interview... Even miracle happened, an offer with no funding is as good as rejection.

No notification since submission... until today... Really disappointed...

Hi for the poster that you have been invited for interview on DPhil program. Would you mind sharing when you received the interview invitation and when you will be interviewed? I still haven't heard anything, has anyone else applied to the master received any responses? So nervous now.

Has anyone received any response from this course? I haven't heard anything, nor an interview. So nervous.

Sorry to be unclear. It was not an official email that went out from OII; I contacted my prospective supervisor, who confirmed that my application had been rejected. This particular supervisor was on strike at the end of last week, but not at the beginning of this one. It was kind of them to let me know.

So what is asked in the interview? (for those who interviewed for DPhil In Information, Communication And The Social Sciences) Also, what are your backgrounds?
