Undergrad at 3.4, Graduate at 3.7 GPA. Relevant job experience, strong LoRs. Clear statement for why I want to do this degree.

- 18 months of research experience at an AI lab during my undergraduate years - 1 paper accepted at an International conference (2024) in computational linguistics primarily focused on the Asia-Pacific region - 3 recommendation letters submitted (although 2 was the minimum required)

First CL acceptance!! Currently finishing BSc in Math with a second major in Linguistics. No research/internships/publications or GRE

3.17 Overall 3.3 Major Undergrad Linguistics major with 4 classes in compling and cs, had received 3 interviews for compling entry level jobs before applying, one internship, none gave me an offer either. I guess not enough programming background and never took statistics, maybe GPA too, had 1 stupid F, 1 stupid D, and 1 stupid C on transcript that should have all been As which would bump me up to around 3.7/3.8 major and 3.6/3.7 overall. no research no publications, 2 letters of recommendation from ling professors, but non cs or compling who were horrible at my school unluckily. was a shot in the dark, not applying here again

No GRE, no publications. Math + CS bachelor's & 1.5 years of SWE industry experience.

American with international degree. Got the notification late at night too :/
